Koortjies met Jonathan Rubain
19 September 2021
I loved being back on Koortjies and found it overwhelmingly meaningful to hear how people could relate to the show and episode. This gave me perspective on how we are all in need of God’s mercy, presence and guidance in these trying times.
I was particularly encouraged to hear that ‘God Het ‘n Behae’ as well as my story helped many and the feedback was a great blessing to me. I will always be grateful for any platform to motivate and encourage people.
Koortjies with Jonathan Rubain was once again, a special episode. It was good to be back on the Koortjies stage again. It was special simply because this time around we were talking about grief and the effects of Covid-19. It was hectic for me because we all were somehow affected by it and even lost loved ones. I shared about the loss of my partner Lucinda’s dad and how it really affected me on a personal level and how it still does.
I also had the opportunity to perform my brand-new single, ‘God Het ‘n Behae’ and it was so fitting. I wrote ‘God Het ‘n Behae’ during that time, and it was very difficult to imagine that we were going to see the other side of this challenging time. God, however, always has a way to show His hand in difficult times.
